The Puppy Chews (Japanese: 歯みがきガム Hamigaki gamu) is a food item in Nintendogs + Cats that falls under the category of "Care" in the Supplies. These are treats that are shaped like rawhide bones, only they have a gummy, chewy texture rather than a firm one. Stuffed in a blue checkered bag that says “Dog Gum”, they can be fed to pets as a reward for behaving on walks and used to help learn tricks.
Puppy Chews are similar to Beef Jerky and Heart Cookies in that they are the best treats to help puppies learn behaviors and tricks even faster. They are better than Biscuits for that reason.
While kittens don't mind Puppy Chews, they prefer cat-specific treats.

How to Obtain[]
Puppy Chews are exclusive to Toy Poodle & New Friends and can be purchased at BARC for $3 after reaching 2,350 Owner Points or playing for 12 days. These can also be obtained from the Pedometer after 100-999 steps. They sell for $2 at the Secondhand Shop.
