Interior Decorator is a real estate service that sells several house makeovers (and furniture in Nintendogs + Cats) for you and your dogs.

Nintendogs

The Interior Decorator can be acessed by pressing the bottom left button on the "Go out" screen. There are a total of 9 houses in Nintendogs. The most expensive is Outer Space, and the cheapest is the Designer Condo. Some of these houses are available on startup, but others must be unlocked through trainer points.

Each version of Nintendogs starts with one of these houses as the default house. Dachshund and Friends starts with the Ranch House, Chihuahua and Friends and Best Friends starts with Northern European, Lab and Friends starts with Urban Living and Dalmatian and Friends starts with Early American. These houses are free for those versions. For example, since Dachshund and Friends starts with the Ranch House, if one was to buy another house, the Ranch House would then become free of charge, as would any other house that had been previously purchased. The default houses from other versions can be unlocked through trainer points or by doing Bark Mode with a player who has that version of the game.

Also, once the player buys the house, they cannot enter the Interior Decorator again untill the house remodeling is finished, which could take a few real-time days. (1-2)
