The Tennis Ball (Japanese: テニスボール Tenisubōru) is an item in Nintendogs + Cats is an item in Nintendogs and Nintendogs + Cats that falls under the category of "Sports" in the Supplies. It can be used with dogs or cats to play fetch.
It only comes in one color in the DS version, while in the 3DS version it comes in three colors-- one for each version.
Version-Exclusive Tennis Balls (+Cats)[]
The following Tennis Ball colors are only obtainable in a specific version of Nintendogs + Cats:
- Light-Blue Tennis Ball in French Bulldog & New Friends
- Pink-Contrast Tennis Ball in Toy Poodle & New Friends
- Yellow Tennis Ball in Golden Retriever & New Friends
However, people playing the North American French Bulldog and Golden Retriever versions were able to get the Pink-Contrast Tennis Ball via the Lyndon Johnson DLC.

How to Obtain[]
- In Nintendogs, the Tennis Ball is available as a starting item after the player has completed the tutorial. It can also be found very commonly as a present on walks. It sells for $2 at the Secondhand Shop.
- In Nintendogs + Cats, the yellow Tennis Ball is a starting item exclusive to Golden Retriever & New Friends. It can also be purchased at the menu BARC for $4. In other versions, the yellow Tennis Ball can be obtained via StreetPass. It can be sold at the Secondhand Shop for $4.
