The Rubber Brush (Japanese: ラバーブラシ Rabāburashi) is an item in Nintendogs and Nintendogs + Cats that falls under the category of "Care" in the Supplies.

The brush is orange with a yellow handle and thick black bristles. It is recommended for use on short-haired breeds. If the Rubber Brush is used on a long-haired breed, the dog will take longer to clean and won't reach its maximum potential.
Grooming a dog with the Rubber Brush generates 1-3 Trainer Points a minute. There is a Trainer Point generation method in which the player must start to brush the dog and then leave the DS on that screen. After a while, the player can quit and see an increase in Trainer Points.
Nintendogs + Cats[]
The Rubber Brush is blue and hemispherical, with pointed white bristles on the flat side. It is recommended for use on short-haired cats. If the Rubber Brush is used on a dog or a long-haired cat, the pet will take longer to clean.
How to Obtain[]
- In Nintendogs, the Rubber Brush is available at the start and can be purchased at Pet Supply for $30. It can also be found at the Discount Shop. Since prices vary each time the player visits the Discount Shop, the Rubber Brush can range from $15 - $30. It sells for $12 at the Secondhand Shop.
- In Nintendogs + Cats, the Rubber Brush can be purchased at BARC for $20. It sells for $8 at the Secondhand Shop.
